Designing Natural Gardens - A useful course for gardeners and amateurs who want to bring nature back into the garden.
A natural garden is one that appears to be a relatively natural occurrence: not contrived or planned by man, and not maintained with any substantial input by man. Although natural gardens may, in fact, be planned, and may require routine maintenance; it is just these things are not obvious.
Choosing the right plants for the right purpose is often the difference between a good garden designer and a not so good one. In order to do this effectively gardeners and landscapers have to have knowledge of how different elements of the environment impact upon plant growth, and particular types of plants.
This course aims to provide you with a firm basis for the selection, establishment and maintenance of a range of commonly used garden plants. Learn about all the different groups of plants and the key factors which influence their growth and how they can be used in the landscape.
