Do you plan too much without actually doing something about it?
Planning is important. It helps us to make well-thought out decisions, such as Should I move house? Should I change my job? Should I paint my lounge yellow? Plans can be small – What should I eat tonight, through to life changing decisions, such as – Should I emigrate?
We all plan at times, however, sometimes we can plan too much and never actually DO!
Meri has been interested in helping people for years. She did some voluntary work for a while and became interested in counselling and life coaching. She currently works as an accountant. She looks frequently at life coaching and counselling courses, but can never decide which one she prefers. She continues to work at the accountants.
Meri could take that next step –
- Perhaps do voluntary work on a helpline to gain more experience of working with others.
- Do other types of helping voluntary work.
- Read more books on life coaching and counselling.
- Decide which she prefer to do – counselling or life coaching
- Do a training course in life coaching and/or counselling
- Set herself a time frame for when she plans to take each step.
It is easy to let thins drift, but if you want to change your life, do the planning, but remember to actually take action.
